
Lena Virginia “Ginny” (Hunt) Lowman died peacefully in Fishers, IN in at the age of 82, on September 3, 2015.
Ginny is survived by her children, Tim Handwork, Mitch Handwork, Russ (Dawn) Handwork, Lisa (Brian)Mitchem, Angela (Colin) Colvin; grandchildren: Caroline, Eric, Sarah, Waylon, Wesley, Tori, Erik, Rachael, Jake, AJ, Rebecca, Ana, Ashley, Heather, Alexa, Nicole, Alyssa, Thomas, Will, Isabelle and Gabriella; great-grandchildren Ethan and Madelyn; brothers, Ronald, John and Jimmy Hunt. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Lowman, Jr.; brother, Jack Hunt; sisters, Doris Kelly and Joyce Hunt; and parents, Will and Velma Hunt
Ginny was born on July 20, 1933 in Burkesville, KY to Will and Velma Hunt. She married George Lowman, Jr. in 1963.
Ginny was a creative spirit, whose loving heart and artistic hands brought beauty to the world around her. A loving wife of 50 years and mother of 5, she gave selflessly to ensure their successes in life. Once her children were grown, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, usually sneaking them a forbidden treat or two. Now she joins her beloved George in Heaven, where he has built her the perfect home for their eternity together.
A funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9 at 9:00 am, with viewing Tuesday, September 8 from 5-8 pm, at Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory, Harry W. Moore Chapel, Indianapolis. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ginny’s life.
